A severe monsoon season has taken a deadly toll on parts of Pakistan, inundating one-third of the country with heavy rainfall and catastrophic flooding. More than 1,100 people and 800,000 livestock have died, at least 3,500 have been injured, 2 million acres of crops have been engulfed, and in total, more than 33 million have been affected by the torrential downpours.
NRB members, including Samaritan’s Purse, CBN, and Gospel for Asia (GFA World), are on the ground in Pakistan responding with their disaster relief teams.
Gospel for Asia (GFA World), in activating their disaster relief team, Compassion Services, is ministering to the flood victims by delivering essential supplies.
“Compassion Services teams have undergone emergency training and are now implementing that training in Pakistan by delivering basic medicine, water, food and clothing,” said Gospel for Asia (GFA World) founder K.P. Yohannan.
