A spokesman for Gospel for Asia says the Christian ministry is committed to the long-term to help people recover from the devastating Kerala India flooding.
Hundreds of people have lost their lives and thousands have lost everything in what is being called the worst flooding in nearly 100 years in the southern Indian state of Kerala. Gospel for Asia vice president Danny Yohannan says they have ministry-supported teams in that area, so they were able to jump into action immediately.
“Right when this flooding started, our people – who are there on the ground at ground zero – before really anything actually hit the news internationally, [they] were already doing relief work and helping and trying to rescue people,” he shares.
