Gospel for Asia (GFA) is helping make Christmas possible for many people in the countries the ministry serves.
The missions organization, founded by K.P. Yohannan in 1979, to this day runs numerous programs in Asian countries, including India. With the upcoming holiday in mind, Gospel for Asia (GFA) is running its annual Christmas Gift Catalog campaign so that people internationally may purchase gifts for Christians in India.
Vice-President Danny Yohannan tells One News Now it is a blessing to “bring hope and healing to hundreds of thousands of people’s lives every single year through Christmas gifts like chickens and goats and sewing machines and buffalos and all these different items, which are life-changing items, items that help lift people out of their poverty, give them hope, give them dignity.”
The gifts often provide an income the receiving family would not otherwise have.
“With many of these people, they ask, ‘Why are you doing this? No one does this for us.’ And we can tell them because we love them and that Christ loves them,” Yohannan shares. “It just really, it melts their hearts to realize that love can be seen … and that we expect nothing back from them.”
