A Christian missionary organization is calling attention to the human rights issue of 21st century human trafficking that affects more people than the population of Canada.
Human trafficking occurs all the time in every country – and most people don’t even realize it, says Danny Yohannan, vice president of Gospel for Asia. He explains that GFA is trying to raise awareness and bring attention to the fact that people are made in the image of God, and that those trapped in slavery need others’ help.
“There are over 40 million people who are in some sort of slavery, and this is not all the sex trade. Sex trade is included in this, but men, women, and children are often times in some sort of level of slavery,” he tells OneNewsNow. “That’s higher than the entire population of Canada.”
