The COVID crisis in India continues as the country passes 20 million covid cases and over 219,000. The Christian missionary organisation GFA World (formerly known as Gospel for Asia) has been part of the response as founder Dr. KP Yohannan along with his colleague in India Fr Sijo Pandapallil, told Premier’s Esther Higham. K.P. Yohannan also highlights the expanding ministry of GFA World missionaries – to Africa, where huge needs exist for many African people groups, ranging from the water crisis to lack of access to healthcare and education, to recovering from genocide and the killing of hundreds of thousands of children.
In my entire lifetime, which is 70 years, I never heard or experienced any more painful, disastrous, and destructive, including the tsunami that the world dealt with. We are looking on the face of masses, millions dying unnecessarily, no one is exempted, rich or poor, caste or creed or nationality. The suffering is very very serious. And I said this, the coronavirus may be 5% or 10% of the problem, 90% is the consequence of this which is starvation.
People are starving to death in many, many places because the lockdown causing people just dying without any food and water, and basic necessities…
